Commencing college in 2006, Doug obtained the necessary security and insurance licenses while remaining a full time student at Bloomsburg University. Adding to his collegiate workload, Doug regularly volunteered time towards various activities on and off campus such as the Bloomsburg Food Bank and VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). Although college concluded in 2010, Doug continues to keep education a top priority in order to provide the highest level of service and expertise to his clients. With professional degrees from three industry-leading organizations, he was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2014, the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation in 2015, and the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM designation in 2017. Doug continues to be a vital part of the family business with clients in close to 15 states.
For eight consecutive years, Doug has participated in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Bike to the Bay event held in Delaware. Each year, with the help of wonderful friends, family, clients, colleagues, and business associates, Doug is able to raise thousands of dollars for a worthy cause. He participates in order to help many people with MS but since his mother was diagnosed with MS in 2001, and passed as a direct result of MS in 2014, he rides with her on his mind every year. His determination and drive will push him to continue with the fundraising and awareness efforts every year the MS Bike to the Bay occurs. As long as there is MS, Doug plans to ride.
